This is an awesome band live, or just when I listen to them
in my room. I love the way their band name sounds, “Chunk! No Captain Chunk.” I
don’t know how they could have come up with such a catchy name. This band was
unknown to me, until I had received my tickets for my first concert. My friends
and I started listening to them, and they have been one of my favorite bands
ever since.
Going back to my first concert they were the second band to
perform. I knew every single song that they had played, because they only had
one album out at the time. This album is called, “Something For Nothing”, and I
would recommend this album to anyone looking for new music. This band is from
Paris, France. Before they started playing they said, “We are Chunk! No Captain
Chunk, from Paris, France. I had no clue they were from France, because they
speak English fine. I remember them playing one of the best songs that they had
out, and it’s called “Make Them Believe.” I absolutely love this song, because
of how they made the beginning of the song. At the concert the lead singer, Bertrand Poncet,
said, “On the count of three everyone shout, shut the fuck up! One, two, three
shut the fuck up!” This made everyone in the crowd laugh a little, and get
right into the song. We were jumping up and down screaming shut the fuck up! This
was the best first concert I could have ever had. This song is the bomb so I’m
going to stop talking about it, and let you listen to it instead.

This isn’t the only great song that they had played that night. They did
a cover of Kesha’s song “We Are Who We Are.” This was an awesome surprise that
they hit me with, because I did not know that they were going to perform this
song. I just thought they usually play their best songs off of their album. They
had different colored lights red, green, blue, and yellow looking like laser
beams shooting everyone in the place. Not only the laser beams but they had
huge beach balls soaring through the air. Everyone was hitting the balls way up
in the air back and forth, even hitting them back up on the stage. The guys in
the band were having loads of fun jamming out, and kicking the balls back into
the crowd. Here is Kesha’s cover by Chunk! No Captain Chunk.
