Chunk! No Captain Chunk

This is an awesome band live, or just when I listen to them in my room. I love the way their band name sounds, “Chunk! No Captain Chunk.” I don’t know how they could have come up with such a catchy name. This band was unknown to me, until I had received my tickets for my first concert. My friends and I started listening to them, and they have been one of my favorite bands ever since.
Going back to my first concert they were the second band to perform. I knew every single song that they had played, because they only had one album out at the time. This album is called, “Something For Nothing”, and I would recommend this album to anyone looking for new music. This band is from Paris, France. Before they started playing they said, “We are Chunk! No Captain Chunk, from Paris, France. I had no clue they were from France, because they speak English fine. I remember them playing one of the best songs that they had out, and it’s called “Make Them Believe.” I absolutely love this song, because of how they made the beginning of the song. At the concert the lead singer, Bertrand Poncet, said, “On the count of three everyone shout, shut the fuck up! One, two, three shut the fuck up!” This made everyone in the crowd laugh a little, and get right into the song. We were jumping up and down screaming shut the fuck up! This was the best first concert I could have ever had. This song is the bomb so I’m going to stop talking about it, and let you listen to it instead.

This isn’t the only great song that they had played that night. They did a cover of Kesha’s song “We Are Who We Are.” This was an awesome surprise that they hit me with, because I did not know that they were going to perform this song. I just thought they usually play their best songs off of their album. They had different colored lights red, green, blue, and yellow looking like laser beams shooting everyone in the place. Not only the laser beams but they had huge beach balls soaring through the air. Everyone was hitting the balls way up in the air back and forth, even hitting them back up on the stage. The guys in the band were having loads of fun jamming out, and kicking the balls back into the crowd. Here is Kesha’s cover by Chunk! No Captain Chunk.

The Story So Far

This is a band that will never get old to my ears. The Story
So Far is one of the best pop punk bands out there. Their music is incredible I
love every single song that they have put out. They make me bob my head with every
song. They might not be heavy, but they know how to play some damn good music.

I started listening to them last year around April. My older
brother had brought their sweet melodies and lyrics to me. We were going to
Warped Tour in a couple of months, and I’m glad he showed them to me. When we
were at Warped Tour they put on a good show. I wouldn’t mind seeing them live
again. I listened to their first two albums “What You Don’t See”, and “Under
the Soil and Dirt” on repeat for the next five months. I just couldn’t get
their songs out of my head. I was obsessed with them, and I still feel the same
way.

When my friends and I hang out I have to put these guys on.
They are just catchy and always put me in a better mood, especially if we are
drinking some beers. I will literally stop my conversation or whatever I am
doing at the time to sing these songs. When I don’t know what to play I always
throw on The Story So Far, because they are never bad to listen to. Right now I’m
listening to them, just in dedication to them for this week. The worst part
about this is that I can’t concentrate on doing this blog.

They actually just came out with a new album, but I haven’t
listened to it much. I have to buy it and I will end up putting it on repeat
just like I did with the other albums. They released a track that is called “Solo”,
and I listened to that one the most. My favorite album is “What You Don’t See”
because it was their first album, which is usually the best from bands. This is
because they aren’t trying to just make money, and there is a lot of emotion in
the lyrics. These albums are what they really want to sound like, and what they
originate from. All three of their albums have been good, and they have stayed
in their personal sound. I think that is the best thing a band can do, because
that’s why everyone is a fan of them.

Here is one of my favorite songs from them, but I like a lot
of them. This one is called Quicksand, and don’t forget to turn it up!
